According to U.S. Census Bureau research, the number of businesses without a payroll reached 20.4 million in 2005. In
other words, there were more than 20 million people out there working their own business five
years ago and the numbers are increasing dramatically with the loss of jobs.

Data Corp (IDC), a research firm that provides international market intelligence and services states that there are about
35 million home office households in America. Home business owners are more likely to have college and post-graduate
degrees and bring in an average household income of $59,000 versus the national average of $45,000.00.
More than 5.4 million mothers put their careers on hold to stay home with their children. They're starting
their own home-based businesses-earning the new title of mompreneur or WAHM, work-at-home-mom.
